This 100 year old Victorian-style Toronto West semi was completely transformed with a three floor addition added at the rear of the house, maximizing square feet and providing an open concept master bedroom, spa like ensuite & private patio overlooking the city.
The narrowing staircase wall was removed allowing light in as Super Seven exposed the original brick of the home. Now, an open riser staircase peers over the Chef’s kitchen that surrounds a 16′ oak island. The client’s personal style was expressed through a combination of finishes to create depth and intrigue. The result: a flowing, functional, well-planned space with a juxtaposition of warm wood and exposed brick, that absorbs natural light throughout.
